Chris Dominikovich
Managing Director
Chris oversees both arms of the business, Dom Commercial and Designer Homeware. He and his wife, Iris, bought the latter business in 2006 after purchasing some shelving for their baby’s nursery. The owner mentioned the company was for sale, and Chris soon found himself designing, selling and installing wardrobes all over Tauranga.

Prior to this, Chris was involved in property development on Waiheke Island and had obtained a Business Studies degree from Massey University. So it wasn’t long before he expanded Designer Homeware’s product range and hired more staff. Chris entered the Auckland, Waikato and Christchurch storage and shelving markets between 2009-2015, and today employs a team of 50 plus people across two companies.

His vision, enthusiasm and desire to grow is what drives our business, and Chris enjoys the variety and challenges that each day brings. He is now a father of two and loves mountain biking, fishing and boating.
Dan McLean
General Manager
Building solid business relationships is what Dan does best. His career has revolved around corporate sales and sponsorship roles, and we were thrilled to welcome him to our company in mid-2018.

Dan grew up in the Waikato and spent the previous eight years working for Southern Cross Health Society in Auckland before deciding to escape the big city and embrace a more family-friendly lifestyle in the Bay of Plenty.
​
He is now responsible for the day-to-day running of Designer Homeware (NZ) Limited and our overall business strategy. Dan is never afraid of hard work and loves developing business to business relationships and seeking out new opportunities. He strives to always see our customers’ point of view so people genuinely enjoy their interactions with us.
​
Outside of the office, Dan enjoys fishing and mountain biking and lives in Mount Maunganui with his wife, Rochelle, and their two young children.
Craig Ellery
Factory Floor Manager
Craig’s entire career (40 years+) has revolved around working with wood. He loves to make things and enjoys figuring out ways to bring a new idea to life. Born and raised in Tauranga, Craig left school to complete his carpentry/joinery apprenticeship in Rotorua and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years he’s helped create top notch joinery, kitchens, shelves and even glamorous wooden bungalows in Bora Bora.

Craig first met Chris Dominikovich soon after he bought Designer Homeware. Chris asked Craig (and his employer at the time) to produce solid shelving units for him, and so their working relationship began. Years later, Chris convinced Craig to join him fulltime and together they’ve dramatically expanded our company’s manufacturing capabilities.
​
Craig now manages the floor of our Tauranga-based factory. Spare time is hard to come by, but he enjoys fishing, gardening and visiting his grandchildren whenever he can.
