Chris Dominikovich
Managing Director
Chris oversees both arms of the business, Dom Commercial and Designer Homeware. He and his wife, Iris, bought the business in 2006 after purchasing some shelving for their baby’s nursery when pregnant with their first child. The owner mentioned the company was for sale, and Chris soon found himself designing, selling and installing wardrobes all over Tauranga.
Prior to this, Chris was involved in property development on Waiheke Island and had obtained a Business Studies degree from Massey University. So it wasn’t long before he expanded Designer Homeware’s product range and hired more staff. Chris entered the Auckland and Waikato storage and shelving markets, and today employs a team of 30 plus people.
His vision, enthusiasm and desire to grow is what drives our business, and Chris enjoys the variety and challenges that each day brings.
With his two children now grown, Chris takes great pride in reflecting on the past 20 years of building a successful business while raising his family.
Dan McLean
General Manager
Building solid business relationships is what Dan does best. His career has revolved around corporate sales and sponsorship roles, and we were thrilled to welcome him to our company in mid-2018.
Dan grew up in the Waikato and spent the previous eight years working for Southern Cross Health Society in Auckland before deciding to escape the big city and embrace a more family-friendly lifestyle in the Bay of Plenty.
He is now responsible for the day-to-day running of Designer Homeware (NZ) Limited and our overall business strategy. Dan is never afraid of hard work and loves developing business to business relationships and seeking out new opportunities. He strives to always see our customers’ point of view so people genuinely enjoy their interactions with us.
Outside of the office, Dan enjoys fishing and mountain biking and lives in Mount Maunganui with his wife, Rochelle, and their two young children.
Charles Blofield
Factory Manager
Originally from South Africa, Charles brings strong leadership, experience, and a hands-on approach to his role as our Factory Manager. He is responsible for keeping our factory running smoothly and ensuring our team maintains the high standards we pride ourselves on.
